Historical Landmarks

Located near the coastal city of Jableh, Tell Sukas is an important archaeological site that was uncovered by a Danish excavation mission. The site revealed several significant areas that shed light on ancient settlement patterns along the Syrian coast.
The excavation was initially overseen by the French archaeologist Maurice Dunand, and later by Nassib Saliba, who served as the cultural attaché and contributed to the site’s documentation and research efforts.
