It’s believed this monastery was founded after an apparition of the Virgin Mary in 1958 to a girl named Salma Gerges Daker.
The monastery was built on the site where a blessed spring burst forth and where numerous miraculous healings have reportedly occurred.
Today, it stands as a spiritual sanctuary frequented by visitors.
