The Hilaliya Zawiya is located south of the Jalloum district in Aleppo. It is a small historic mosque that was renovated and expanded in 1205 AH, corresponding to 1790 AD. It has been under the care of a member of the Hilali Qadiri family, as it was established by Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani the Younger to serve as a center for spiritual remembrance in their tradition. The zawiya consists of a square dhikr hall, topped by a green dome visible from behind the outer wall; a spacious atrium designed to welcome passing dervishes; a charitable kitchen that prepares lentil soup daily for the poor, known as the Qadiri Pot; and a wooden mihrab coated in yellow lacquer, located in the qibla wall. The structure was restored through public donations in 1990, and the dome was rehabilitated using copper plated with green enamel. It also serves as a venue for explaining Qadiri philosophy and its influence on Qudud music.
