Church of the Dormition of Our Lady

Religious Monuments

The Church of the Dormition of Our Lady was erected on the ruins of an ancient Byzantine church, where valuable archaeological artifacts were discovered. Its walls contain openings that allow light to filter through, and it is surrounded by oak trees. In 1925, it suffered a fire that destroyed its entrance, which was subsequently reconstructed in 1926. Each year, local inhabitants commemorate the Dormition of the Virgin.
