Hammam Harasta

Traditional Public Baths

Hammam Harasta is located in the Al-Thaghra neighborhood of Harasta, north of Damascus. Most of its structure dates back to the Mamluk period. The bathhouse consists of four traditional sections and features stone domes adorned with *qamariyya* (colored glass openings). In 2009, a comprehensive restoration was carried out under the supervision of the Rif Dimashq Antiquities Department and the Harasta Municipality. The work included the addition of ablaq marble, as well as the installation of modern water and heating systems in the basement.
