House of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash

Heritage Houses

This house is considered one of the most important national and architectural landmarks in Jabal al-Arab, as it was the residence of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash, the leader of the Great Syrian Revolution in 1925. Constructed in a traditional basalt style, it reflects local architectural design and hosted national meetings and pivotal moments in Syria’s history. It later transformed into a national symbolic site, now housing memorial halls and a small museum.
