Monastery of Our Lady

The Church of the Holy Virgin Mary of the Armenian Orthodox community is one of the oldest religious landmarks in the region. Established in the 17th century, it has long served as a spiritual and cultural center for the Armenian population.

Over the years, the church has undergone regular renovations and additions, reflecting the continuous care and devotion of the local community.

Within its courtyard stands a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, erected in 1964, serving as a solemn reminder of a tragic chapter in Armenian history.

Each year, the church becomes a destination for pilgrims celebrating the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, reaffirming its enduring religious significance.
