The park was inaugurated by Governor Saadallah Al-Jabri in celebration of Syria’s independence. It is located between the neighborhoods of Aziziyeh and Jamilieh, near Saadallah Al-Jabri Square, stretching along the banks of the Queiq River, which flows through its center. Hexagonal in shape, the park is adorned with lush green grass, towering trees, and colorful flowers. It spans approximately 17 hectares and features a duck pond and a statue of Al-Khidr. Additionally, the park houses a statue of the renowned Arab poet **Abu Firas Al-Hamdani**. It hosted its first summer theater performances in 1953 and underwent renovations in 2019, including the installation of a drip irrigation system and heritage-style lighting poles.
