Constructed by the engineers of the Baghdad Railway using basalt and white stone from Manbij, the bridge retains a historical plaque dating back to the year 1323 AH, bearing the seal of Sultan Abdul Hamid. Following the construction of the Tishrin Dam, the bridge was elevated above the river level and designated for pedestrian use, featuring a balcony that overlooks the course of the Euphrates River, providing a rare perspective on Ottoman transportation geography. Moreover, this bridge connects the town of Manbij with the eastern region of the Euphrates.
