Roman Baths in Bosra al-Sham

Traditional Public Baths

The Roman Baths of Bosra are among the most remarkable Roman bathhouses in Syria. Constructed from black basalt stone, the complex includes several chambers, the largest of which features an impressive octagonal design. Clearly visible on the site are bathing pools and heating channels (hypocausts) made of baked brick, showcasing the advanced engineering and public leisure culture of the Roman era in the region.
