The site was originally constructed as a fortified residential complex atop an elevated vantage point overlooking key trade routes. It is believed to have functioned as an important administrative and supervisory center, distinguished by its thick defensive walls and imposing architectural presence.
The complex features towers, ceremonial gateways, and royal reception halls, all reflecting its elevated status. In later periods, it was repurposed as a guard post tasked with securing nearby agricultural regions—underscoring its continued strategic significance over time.
