tel Bderi, identified with the ancient city of Nabada, was a medium-sized settlement constructed on multiple terraces and protected by two enclosing walls and seven gates.
The Acropolis Palace, also known as the Ma‘alla, stands prominently atop a terrace north of the acropolis, visibly situated at the heart of the city. Originally built around 2500 BCE during the first construction phase, the palace underwent two significant remodeling phases. In the second phase, which was selected for restoration, storage wings were added to the eastern and northwestern sectors. During the third phase, upper floors were constructed over the western section, and new rooms were added at a higher elevation.
