Crowning the building is a clock tower, whose mechanism was imported from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. <\/p>\n<p>The vaulted arcade roof was constructed using an iron framework inspired by Berlin\u2019s railway architecture, while the floors are adorned with multicolored tiles manufactured by the French firm Victoire. Trains operated along the Berlin-bound route until 1940, after which the line was limited to Istanbul.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, the station\u2019s stained-glass transom above the main entrance was restored.
